● Staff covered for one another and worked hard to connect with their students in whatever way they could whether in person or virtually. All of their efforts were on behalf of your children so their learning could continue.
● Our preliminary end of year data shows much student growth! Our students made great strides forward academically, behaviorally and socially as we navigated interruptions and frustrations with all things COVID. Our students also grew as we navigated the array of learning expectations, emotions and frustrations we lived during this pandemic school year.
● Our school was recognized for our continued character education efforts by True Success.
● Our upper elementary students were able to attend a field trip as we closed out the school year this past week.
● We were able to offer Girls on the Run and held our very own 5K race.

I know the loss many people experienced is real, however, please don’t let COVID be the defining memory of the school year. We have much to celebrate. We can celebrate reconnecting with friends, being together in one way or another as a school community, the grit we developed in the face of adversity and most importantly the growth our students have shown. Most importantly, let’s celebrate the fun stories from the school day that were shared by your child and all the good that did occur.

As we begin summer break next week, I hope each one of you takes some time to relax, have fun, and celebrate the year by doing some of your favorite things as a family. I am truly excited to return in the fall. I look forward to a fresh start in many ways and continuing to partner with our school community to continue to make Alpine Elementary the wonderful place it is. Thank you for all your support! Have a great summer!

REDEFINED

Our Personal Mastery educational experience has redefined education and has gained attention around the state and nation. Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers. Instead of teaching to a broad group of students without understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses, Personal Mastery allows teachers to interact with students individually or in small groups to help them better address their weaknesses. In this way, we strive to help your child reach their full potential.
